ACTA in a Nutshell –
What is ACTA? ACTA is the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement. A new intellectual property enforcement treaty being negotiated by the United States, the European Community, Switzerland, and Japan, with Australia, the Republic of Korea, New Zealand, Mexico, Jordan, Morocco, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, and Canada recently announcing that they will join in as well.
Why should you care about ACTA? Initial reports indicate that the treaty will have a very broad scope and will involve new tools targeting “Internet distribution and information technology.”
What is the goal of ACTA? Reportedly the goal is to create new legal standards of intellectual property enforcement, as well as increased international cooperation, an example of which would be an increase in information sharing between signatory countries’ law enforcement agencies.

the seven year old here was me way back in the day. Back when I was a little girl in the late eighties to mid ninties I loved superhero's and my favorite superhero's were Wonder Woman which my mom said I watched daily to Supergirl and Superman. When I was older I loved the X-men cartoon and would gleefully get up every saterday morining to watch my favorite hero's. I would stop at this drug store and read my favorite issues while waiting for my mom to finish her shopping. After a while I began to noticed that the images of the woman were overly sexualized as compared to the males and it became a major turn off causing me to drop comics until college when on a whim I picked up an issue of Robin and met Spoiler. I read comics after that and reignighted my old dream of going into animation and comics. That was until war games when I stopped altogether only to look now and see no reason to go back.
Because Why Should I
Why should I pick up your product if your only going to dehumanize me?
And what do I tell the little girl who loves Wonder Woman why her sex is being raped and killed for a plot point.
Do I tell her that she is less than a man
To switch to manga because that is what you and some of the other fans are telling me. That my doller is worth less than his.
What do I tell her what do I say?
that's the trouble with pandering to one group. You end up losing all.
for example :

What made this lady think that people in the neighborhood would accept this?
I'm all for celebrating who you are but there are places for it.

and all I can say is well how typical.
This reminds me of the Airbender and Prince of Persia debates
on a more personal note I found Avatar to be quite racist in and of it's self because it seemed that they were cherry picking stereotypes to present and what a couple of white guys think in college is not a representation on a whole.
As to Persia something based on a video game produced by Disney is not a realistic representation of the people of Persia which is modern day Iraq if were based on a Persian legend I'd been more offended but it was a damn video game which was unrealistic in and of it's self.
